Newsletter: 6 November 2011

SECOND COLLECTION today for the Bishop’s Maintenance Fund. Also, another one next week for the Sick and Retired Clergy Fund.
NB: All those who were so generous towards the “Together In Faith” fundraising campaign need not contribute to next week’s Second Collection as they are already supporting our sick and retired priests. NOVEMBER is the month during which Catholics traditionally remember and pray for the dead and we pray for the Holy Souls in Purgatory to help them on their way to Heaven. If you wish to write the names of your deceased loved ones and place the list in the purple box on the Sanctuary, we will pray for them during every Mass this month.

Fr Michael

A husband comes home from church; he greets his wife and lifts her up. He then carried her around the house.
The wife was so surprised and asked: ‘Did the Bishop preach about being romantic?”
The husband replied:
“No, he said we must carry our burdens and sorrows”!!!
