SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT

SVP Retiring Collection today. For local needs; you are always especially generous to this, their collection nearest to Christmas.

WEBSITE. Please consult our website (address above) for details of our Christmas Masses and Services.

“MANY ARE COLD BUT FEW ARE FROZEN”. The presbytery has been without heating or hot water this week as a new boiler has been fitted and relocated to an external wall. Just so you know!

HOW BIZARRE! Once again, very well done to all who helped and supported our Parish Fair last Saturday. The total profit was an impressive £2,440.92p, which excludes any donations and sponsorships which we look forward to receiving from Santander, Barclays etc. Of course the money will come in handy but the major fruit of the Fair is the opportunity to enable parishioners from our large, spread-out parish to pull together and rub shoulders with each other.

2011 PARISH DIARIES. Thank you for handing in your diary last week in support of a reference for a school place for your child in September 2012. If you still have a diary for handing in, please see Fr Michael or attend the Parish Office any morning as it must be signed-for. Fr Michael is currently writing to those whose diaries did not have enough signatures; these families can still apply to the school of their choice, as sometimes schools are able to accept children who do not have a reference from their Parish Priest. It must also be noted that a Parish Priest’s reference does not guarantee a school place, as places are always limited. One last thing, if you have a supplementary form from any school, other than Bishop Parker or St Thomas Aquinas, it will still need to be signed by Fr Michael.

2012 DIARIES will be available and come into effect on Sunday 1st January, or are available from the Parish Office for those who like to get organised. These are for September 2013 places, so please ensure you don’t miss out by thinking your child is too young. If in doubt, please ask.

THURSDAY is the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Mass is at 10 am at All Saints.

BOOKING MASSES. The Mass Intention List (pink in colour) is typed up every Friday. Please book your Masses in advance, not waiting until the morning of the Mass expecting us to add the name. Thank you.

PHOENIX YOUTH GROUP meets Tuesday, 7-9 pm. Any youngster in school year 8 or over is welcome. £2. Subs for your eats and drinks.

DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS today, 3 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Church.

SENIOR’s CHRISTMAS PARTY. Saturday 21st January 2012 at West Bletchley Community Centre.
Please pick up your invitation and return it in the box at the back of church. First-come-first-served, as places are limited. Roll up!

Also, SENIOR PARISHIONERS are invited to St Thomas Aquinas School on Friday 9th December at 12.30 pm to watch the Children’s Christmas Performance over a mulled pie and a minced wine!!!
