THE CATHOLIC CERTIFICATE OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES (CCRS)
This certificate is designed for people who are engaged in the communication of their Catholic Faith, whether directly or indirectly.  It is open to catechists, people involved in liturgical work and other interested adults.
The CCRS can provide general theological knowledge and offer a better understanding of the Catholic faith.  It will help participates to increase their practical application of the faith in their ministry in the church.

THE DIOCESANPROCESSION OF FAITH 2012
Were you there in 2010 as part of the 700?
Will you be there in Bedford on Sunday 30th September?
The Procession is to be led by Bishop Peter Doyle and will leave from the area of the Church of the Holy Child and St Joseph, Brereton Road, Bedford MK40 1HU at 1.30 pm.  It will progress through the main streets of Bedford to Bedford Park, where there will be an open air Celebration Service of music, readings and prayers reflecting our Catholic Faith, concluding with Benediction.
The themes of Faith in the Family and Community,  The Sanctity of Life and Care for the poor and vulnerable will be reflected throughout.

SHARING GOOD PRACTICE
We encourage everybody to receive Holy Communion under both kinds, as instructed by Our Lord at the Last Supper:  “Take and eat … Take and drink”.  The fullness of the symbolism is achieved if you receive under both kinds, Jesus in the form of bread and Jesus in the form of wine.
Please kindly remember that the host is to be consumed immediately, in front of the Minister.
If you cannot receive from the chalice (for medical reasons etc.) we understand.  However, it is good practice for those who choose not to partake of the chalice to make a gesture of reverence – such as a bow – as you pass the Minister:  remember, it is Jesus you are passing by.

Do you have a baby for baptism?  If so, please attend the meeting on Thursday 26th 8 – 9 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room to find out our procedures.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart.  Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys!

Onions look like the body’s cells.  Today’s research shows onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells.  They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.  A working companion, garlic, also helps eliminate waste materials and dangerous free radicals from the body.
