Newsletter: 23rd September 2012

PHOENIX YOUTH GROUP restarts.  For one week only we are to meet on a Monday, 24th September, 7 – 9 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room.  After that we resume normal fortnightly meetings on Tuesdays.  Open to all young people in School Year 8 or over, as we look at aspects of our Catholic faith from an unusual angle.  Please bring £2. for your pizza and fizzy drinks.

SECOND CALL FOR CONFIRMATION.  Calling youngsters of School Year 7.  If you would like to be Confirmed in March by Bishop Peter please email staq@uwclub.net and we will send you the forms which your parents will need to sign and return.  Older youngsters may also apply, but in the case of over-subscription, priority will be given to Year 7’s.

NB:  As Bishop Peter has yet to ‘Confirm’ the Confirmation date, we will wait another few days before sending out the email replies.

BAPTISM PREPARATION.  Do you have a baby for baptism?  If so, congratulations!  Please attend the parent’s meeting this Thursday, 8 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room.  Please note that we expect families who present their child for baptism to be baptised Catholics themselves and to be attending Sunday Mass.

NEW ENVELOPE BOXES.  Having been at St Thomas Aquinas for two weeks, the boxes ‘roadshow’ now moves to All Saints Church.  Please pick up yours today.  If you do not have a box and would like one, please contact the Parish Office.
