Midweek Mass Watch There will be no Mass at 8.30 a.m. on Friday (11.30 a.m. instead followed by soup lunch) at St Thomas Aquinas.  Otherwise, there are no changes to the normal schedule

HARVEST OUTREACH SUNDAY.  Today is your big chance to put your faith into action as the first action of the new Year of Faith.  Please help CAFOD today by giving generously to the Second Collection.
AND place your food offerings on the tables, which the SVP will distribute to local needy via organisations such as The Food Bank, Crosslinks Drop In Centre at Serpentine Court and Open Door Drop In in Queensway.  I do hope that everyone will bring something in today to make this new venture a success, to be repeated in future years.

YEAR OF FAITH as announced by Pope Benedict, begins this Saturday.  Opening Mass at our Cathedral on Saturday at 11 am ~ all welcome.

HEAD COUNT.  Would the collectors please count everyone’s head today during Mass.  Don’t forget the children and adults in the Liturgy, the servers and the musicians.  Same again for the next two Sundays.

6PM MASS READERS REQUIRED.  Would you like to read at theVigil Mass on a Saturday?  Vacancies have arisen so we need new volunteers.  Please help and give your details to the clergy.

FAST DAY For CAFOD.  On Friday, lunch will be served at 12 noon at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room;  soup and bread will be on the menu, plus a request for a donation to CAFOD.  Everyone who attended last time really enjoyed themselves, so please come along again.
NB:  Mass will be ‘put back’ to 11.30 am so people can have Mass, followed by lunch – (no 8.30 am Mass this Friday).

PARISH FAYRE.  It’s time to get motoring on the fayre and the plan is to have themed weeks for donations again.  Collections will start on 14th October, the first theme being bottles.  Bags will be handed out after Masses this weekend.

ALTAR SERVERS TRAINING.  Our thanks to Bernard Guina for organising this.  One or two youngsters missed the sessions and still want to be servers.  If there is enough demand, i.e. any more children, we may organise an extra session.  Please let us know.
