Newsletter: 9th December 2012

TODAY is the SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT

SECOND COLLECTION today towards flowers and decorations for our churches.

THE GIVING TREE appears today.  Please take a tag and buy a present for someone extra this year.  Wrap it, label it and return it under the tree.  Your gift will be gratefully received by someone locally or overseas.  Thank You.

2013 PARISH DIARIES [for primary school entrants in September 2014 (yes 2014!)].  Please don’t mistakenly assume your child is too young to need a diary next year – they apply to children as young as 2 and 3.  If in doubt please ask or it could jeopardise your child’s place in a Catholic Primary School, as in this parish references are based on the parish diary.
Diaries will be issued tomorrow (Monday 10th Dec.), at a meeting at St Thomas Aquinas at 7 pm ~ diaries will no longer be available from church, so please do not miss this meeting.
NB:  Diaries are no longer required for references for St.Paul’s Secondary School.

PHOENIX YOUTH GROUP meets 7 pm Tuesday at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room.  Any young person in school year 8 or over is welcome.  £2. subs for drinks and goodies.

“THE VINE” available for those who didn’t take one last week.

OUR REPOSITORY has many Christmas-themed items on sale.

Why not pay your offering to the Church by way of Standing Order, the more convenient way.  Just let us know by dropping this slip in the basket.
