SCHOOL ADMISSIONS SEPTEMBER 2014.
We issued many 2013 diaries at the meeting last Monday to parents who have children aged 2 and 3 who are to start Catholic Primary Schools in September 2014.  These diaries will be signed at each Mass during 2013, in support of a Parish Priest’s reference, which is just one of the many factors of the admissions process of our Catholic Primary Schools.  If you failed to pick up your diary, please contact the Parish Office.

At the appeals hearings it was suggested that we reduce the number of signatories.  In response, I have approached eight people who have kindly agreed to continue as signatories, all of whom were introduced at the meeting.  Therefore, I am extremely grateful to those School staff members, governors and other parishioners who have helped with the diary signing process over the years.

May I thank everyone for their support in this important area of parish life.

GAS LEAK.  We could have been blown to smithereens last week were it not for the sensitive noses of our parishioners who alerted us to the problem!  A leak was found at All Saints Church in the partition right behind where people light candles!  All is now fixed and safe.  The bill of £527.40p stands as nothing when compared to what night have happened.  Thank God for our parishioners’ keen sense of smell!

May God Bless Us All

Fr Michael
