DIVINE MERCY DEVOTIONS Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Today 3 – 4 pm St Thomas Aquinas Church

POPE FRANCIS has issued his first Apostolic Exhortation, Evangelii Gaudium, translated into English as ‘The Joy of the Gospel’.  The document outlines the Pope’s vision for a missionary Church, whose ‘doors should always be open’.  The Pope speaks on numerous themes, including evangelisation, peace, homilectics, social justice, the family, respect for creation, faith and politics, ecumenism, interreligious dialogue and the role of women and of the laity in the Church.

CAFOD COLLECTION for ‘Typhoon Haiyan’ raised £2495.65p.  Thank You. Plus donations of £100 from Our Lady of Fatima Prayer Group and £30 from the SVP.

ADVENT DAY OF RECOLLECTION Saturday 21st December 10 am – 2 pm St Thomas Aquinas Church. The day will include Morning Prayer, Mass, opportunity for Confession, Benediction and two talks.  Please bring your own lunch ~ tea/coffee provided.

“THE GIVING TREE” Please take a tag and buy a present for someone extra this year.  Wrap it (if the item is not food), label it and return it under the tree.  Your gift will be gratefully received by someone locally or overseas.  Thank You.
