LONDON MARATHON

Pete O’Sullivan writes: ‘My fellow parishioners, by the time you read this I will either be getting ready, participating or hopefully have finished the challenge of the London Marathon. I would just like to thank everybody for the donations last week outside with my bucket, which raised £442.50p, but also for the kind words and best wishes. As I get ready to race those words will be in my head and heart. Helping people we will never meet truly is faith and humanity in action. God Bless, Pete.’

A MESSAGE FROM  AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED During an appeal, people are moved by the suffering of our persecuted fellow Christians and often think, ‘I’d love to do something more to help.’ If this applies to you, why not consider offering to be your Parish Representative? In whatever way suits them best, Parish Reps try to keep interest in the mission of ACN alive in their parish. If you would like to know more, please contact Patricia Hutton, Aid to the Church in Need, 12-14 Benhill Ave, Sutton, SM1 4DA or you could ring Heather Ward on 01773 599982.
