A statue of the Sacred Heart has been given to us, on long term loan, and is currently to the right of the altar as we consider the best use of this space.

SCHOOL APPLICATIONS

For those parents applying for September 2015 school places for St Thomas Aquinas or Bishop-Parker, please ensure you have filled in and returned the Supplementary Form which can be obtained from either school.

 

ADVANCE NOTICE

Diaries for 2015 School Admissions

If you have been issued with a diary then please hand it in at the end of Mass TODAY and collect a receipt.  Please ensure you have recorded your email address in the diary so we are able to notify you as to whether you have been given a reference.

SCHOOL ADMISSIONS 2016

If your child will be starting School in 2016 and you require a reference from Fr Christopher to support an application to a Catholic School, then you will need to register for a diary which is stamped at each Mass as a record of your child’s Church attendance.  There will be a registration evening for parents on Monday 8th December at 7 pm at St Thomas Aquinas Church Meeting Room. Without a completed diary Fr Christopher is unable to issue references.  (Diaries are not required for Catholic Secondary Schools).

 

CONFIRMATION 2015

The Bishop will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on 20th March 2015 at All Saints Church.  If you are in Year 7 and above and are ready to make a firm commitment in your Catholic faith, please email the Parish Office for more details.  Classes will begin in the New Year and dates will be published shortly.  Those over the age of 16 will be asked to attend the Adult RCIA Classes which started recently.

ADVENT DAY OF RECOLLECTION

10 am – 2 pm Saturday 6th December

Fr Prince will be leading this Day of Recollection at St Thomas Aquinas Church.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to spend some quiet time with the Lord and to reflect on His coming amongst us in the business of Christmas preparations.  The day will include Morning Prayer, Mass, opportunity for Confession, Benediction and two talks.

Please bring your own lunch

– tea and coffee will be provided.

Theresa Martuccio, aged 92, late of Cottingham Grove whose Funeral is on Monday the 8th, 12 noon at St Thomas Aquinas.

Lucien Marcel Duranthon, aged 96, late of Roche Gardens, whose Funeral is on Monday the 8th, 2.15 pm at All Saints.  Lucien’s body will be received into church on Sunday, 7th at 5.30 pm.
