THIRD SUNDAY IN LENT

PARISH LENT REFLECTION

“The Call, the Journey and the Mission”

In preparation for the Ordinary Synod on the Family in October 2015, when Bishop Peter Doyle and Vincent Cardinal Nichols will represent England and Wales, Pope Francis has asked us all to reflect with ‘true spiritual discernment’ on themes relating to marriage and family life.  Such spiritual reflection is truly for all people:  single, married, widowed and divorced.  To aid us in the process of reflection our Bishops have published ‘The Call, the Journey and the Mission’ in which we are presented with Holy Scripture passages and quotes from Pope Francis.  There will be two ‘Open Parish Meetings’ (chaired by Fr Wayne Coughlin) to discuss the questions posed in the document:

SEPO

Thank you all for the generous support in our Lenten Appeal last weekend.  We raised the fantastic sum of £950 which will be sent to the Comboni Missionary Sisters in Monghu, Zambia to assist in the completion of the Women’s Skills Centre.  Your support, not just in financial terms, gives us all the strength to continue on with the good work of our Parish Charity.

With our prayers for the coming week.

Every Blessing
