THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD

MESSAGE FROM FR CHRISTOPHER

We aim and hope to be a ‘child friendly’ parish where children are especially welcome.  Yet as a courtesy to others, please do not feel embarrassed about having to take your child outside or into the Meeting Room for a few minutes, if they are particularly noisy. We also respectfully ask that children not be allowed by parents to run around the church as they may cause injury to themselves or someone else. Please also refrain from using the toilet during Mass unless it is absolutely necessary. Apart from bottle feeding for babies, there should be no eating and drinking in church – if your child requires something to eat or drink please take them outside. Noise levels during Mass appear to have risen significantly in recent weeks – churches should be places of silence where we can talk to God  in an atmosphere of peace and quiet – we do ask you to maintain the silence that is needed so we can all participate in the Mass in a worthy manner.

Let us work together to make the

Church a place of calm and quiet welcome.
