FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT

CHILDREN’S MASS and NATIVITY

REHEARSAL TODAY (SUNDAY) 3PM

Children in Reception, years 1, 2 and 3 who usually attend Children’s Liturgy are invited to take part in the Nativity play which forms part of the 4.30 pm Mass at All Saints Church on Christmas Eve. Please come to the Rehearsal today at All Saints Church at 3 pm.

 

THE GIVING TREE

Please take a tag from the Christmas Tree in church and buy a present for someone extra this year. Wrap it (if the item is not food), label it and return it under the tree. Your gift will be gratefully received by someone locally or overseas.

 

THE PARISH FAYRE

Excluding donations, the day made £2,724.51 which was £404.95 or 17.46% up on last year!

CONFIRMATION 2016

The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in the Parish by Bishop Peter on Tuesday 26th April at

7.30 pm..   There will be five preparation classes:

Friday 26th Feb, 4th/ 11th//18th March and 15th April. There will also be an away day at Thornton College “Blaze” on Saturday 23rd April 10.30- 5 pm (cost £5).Places are open to those in school years 7-11 but priority is given to those in year 7. MUSCIAN(S) NEEDED!

We are struggling to find an Organist for the 10 am Mass on Christmas Day at St Thomas Aquinas Church. Could you play an instrument so we can have a musical accompaniment for Christmas Carols. Please contact the Parish Office if you are able to help.

LEGION OF MARY

Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Praesidium in our Parish celebrated its 500th meeting last Tuesday.  The spirit of the Legion of Mary is that of Mary herself and the work undertaken within the Parish is only carried out at the request of the Parish Priest.

Weekly meetings are held on Tuesdays at 7.30 pm, All Saints Meeting Room, New members (men and women) are most welcome.  If you are interested in joining the Legion please contact the Parish Secretary for further information. God Bless always
