BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

Do you miss someone? Would you like to talk about it? Our Parish Bereavement Group gives you the safe space to share your grief following the loss of a loved one. We listen and talk about those who are gone and reflect on our faith to guide us through. The Bereavement Group will meet on:  Monday 9 October/ Monday 13 November/ Monday 11 December:

TEACHER SPONSORSHIP

Following the presentation by our chair of Governors on 9/10 of September the Second Collection taken to sponsor those training for teaching in our Catholic schools raised £774. If you are part of the Parish, and would like to be considered for sponsorship to train in either of our two schools in the future please speak to Fr Christopher.

DEMENTIA Friendly MASS

  St Thomas Aquinas Church

An opportunity for those with Dementia, their carers, friends and fellow parishioners to come together to celebrate Mass and spend some time together in a friendly and supportive environment.

All are very welcome to attend.

That all workers may receive respect and protection of their rights, and that the unemployed may receive the opportunity to contribute to the common good.

It is time for us to complete the Annual Parish Statistics. Could collectors please count all those at Mass, including children, during October. Please include those serving on the Altar.

CAFOD FAMILY FAST DAY

FRIDAY 6th OCTOBER

Please help us raise money this Harvest to lift the world’s poorest people out of poverty. There will be a collection for CAFOD at all masses weekend of 7/8th October  If you would like to Gift Aid your donation, please collect an envelope from the back of the church and use it next weekend.

If you normally use a parish envelope please use a CAFOD envelope on this occasion. Many thanks for your support.
