Terry Gilmartin , who died on 23rd September at Milton Keynes Hospital, funeral on 12th October St Thomas Aquinas Church 12 Noon. Terry’s body will be recieved into church on Thursday 11th at 4pm.
Gerard Cloake, who died on 23rd September . Funeral at Crownhill Crematorium Oak Chapel on 11th October 11.30am

SVP Retiring Collection this weekend

PARISH STATISTICS “Head Count”
Its time for the Parish to complete the annual statitcs report for the Diocese. This year we have been asked to count Mass attendance on the last two Sundays of September and the first two Sundays of October. Could collectors please count all those at Mass, including children. Please include those serving on the Altar.

FAREWELL but not goodbye
After spending the last two months with us in the Parish Fr Clelment returns to his Parish in Kenya after the weekend. He goes with our prayers and our love and we hope to see him again next year.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

Do you miss someone? Would you like to talk about it? Our Parish Bereavement Group gives you the safe space to share your grief following the loss of a loved one. We listen and talk about those who are gone and reflect on our faith to guide us through.

MK FOOD BANK is very short of supplies.
Great reliance is placed on your generosity. Food can be left at All Saints, in the box located on the left hand side towards the front of church. A basket is located at the back of St Thomas Aquinas Church.

PARISH SAFEGUARDING (A reminder)
Awareness Session for Group Leaders. All Group Leaders in the parish are invited to an awareness session entitled ‘What is exploitation’ on 2nd October 2018 at St Mary’s Parish Hall, Aspley Hill, Woburn Sands, MK17 8NN. Arrival at 1.30pm for a 2pm start until 3.30pm. The session is being facilitated by the Thames Valley Police Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Manager, under the theme of safeguarding and vulnerability . Please contact Marie Day (Parish Safeguarding Rep) if interested.

PRAYERS FOR OUR MARATHON MAN!
Please keep David Hanley in your prayers as he takes part in the “Run Galway Bay Marathon” on 6th October, in memory of his Grandmother who died earlier this year. David has taken part in local marathons before raising money for both CAFOD and our Parish Charity SEPO.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL – TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
The Diocese of Northampton is offering a six week training programme in Catholic leadership and management. This is an excellent and valuable opportunity for those wishing to learn more about leadership in Catholic education and what makes Catholic leadership distinctive. Sessions will be delivered by Cat Manley, Laura Maw and Joanne Pughe and will take place on Thursdays, between 4.00-5.30pm, in the Study Suite at St Paul’s Catholic School on: 18th October;
15th November; 10th January; 28th March; 9th May and 13th June. The course will be appropriate for any member of staff whether they are Catholics or not and, particularly, for those who aspire to a leadership role at any level in a Catholic school. The course is free to anyone currently working in a Catholic school, and costs £30 if you do not currently work in a Catholic School.

WORKSHOP TO HELP RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS IN PARSIHES on Friday 19th October To help address the issues surrounding the running of volunteer organisations, Avril Baigent (the Diocesan Pastoral Ministry Adviser) will lead a workshop and discussion about how to recruit and support volunteers and succession planning. THOMAS TOT’S
Due to ongoing building work at St Thomas Aquinas School, Thomas Tot’s will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Church Meeting room from Thursday 13th September until further notice. All Pre-School Children are welcome, donation £1 per child.
