Terry Gilmartin , who died on 23rd September at Milton Keynes Hospital, funeral on 12th October St Thomas Aquinas Church 12 Noon. Terry’s body will be received into church on Thursday 11th at 4pm.
Gerard Cloake, who died on 23rd September . Funeral at Crownhill Crematorium Oak Chapel on 11th October 11.30am
Peggie Halsey, Who died on 2nd October. Funeral to be announced
Deirdre Gleeson, who died on 27th September. Funeral at St Thomas Aquinas Church on Monday 15th October at 11.15am

PARISH STATISTICS “Head Count”
Its time for the Parish to complete the annual statitcs report for the Diocese. This year we have been asked to count Mass attendance on the last two Sundays of September and the first two Sundays of October. Could collectors please count all those at Mass, including children. Please include those serving on the Altar.

Do you miss someone? Would you like to talk about it? Our Parish Bereavement Group gives you the safe space to share your grief following the loss of a loved one. We listen and talk about those who are gone and reflect on our faith to guide us through.
Future Dates: 12 November; 10 December.

OUR LADY’S MONTH OF OCTOBER
The Month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin. The Rosary will be prayed by the Legion of Mary after each weekday Mass this month.
PARISH FAYRE:
Save The Date – Saturday 24th November
We will be holding this year’s Christmas Fayre at Bishop Parker School on Saturday 24th November.
This will be the Parish’s main fund raising event and is always well supported. Why not come along & see the improvements that have been made to the school. Also ample parking has been agreed with the local businesses on Barton Road, so there will be no issues with parking.
As usual we will be seeking donations and will provide a timetable for items to be donated in the next few weeks.

ADVANCE NOTICE(S) – SCHOOL ADMISSIONS

2019 Catholic Primary School Admissions
Completed 2018 diaries will be collected in after the 6pm Vigil; 9am &11am Mass on the weekend of 1st /2nd December (Advent Sunday). If there is a sufficient record of attendance (stamps) then we will notify Bishop Parker School and St Thomas Aquinas School directly. We will inform you by email if a “Certificate of Catholic Practice” has been issued. If you are applying for another Catholic Primary School then please contact the Parish Office after you have received a confirmation email and Fr Christopher will complete any necessary forms. Please remember that a Certificate of Catholic Practice does not guarantee a school place but does support your application. In the event of over subscription “Admissions Criteria” are applied. The “Admissions Policy” for each school can be viewed on their respective websites. Please ensure that you collect and complete all the necessary supplementary forms when applying for a school place which can be obtained from School Reception.

2020 School Admissions for Catholic Primary Schools
If you will be applying for a Catholic Primary School place in 2020 you will need to obtain a “Certificate of Catholic Practice” to support your application. Certificates are issued to all those who complete a Parish 2019 Diary which is stamped at the beginning and end of Sunday Mass as a record of your child’s attendance.
There is a meeting for interested parents on Monday 3rd December, 7pm at St Thomas Aquinas Church Meeting Room (MK2 2JE), where you will able to register and collect a diary.

MK FOOD BANK is very short of supplies.
Great reliance is placed on your generosity. Food can be left at All Saints, in the box located on the left hand side towards the front of church. A basket is located at the back of St Thomas Aquinas Church.

MOTHERS’ PRAYER GROUP
Next Meeting: 20th October 2018
This group meets once a month on a Saturday
3:00-5:00pm at St Thomas Aquinas Meeting Room.
Future Dates: 24th November / 15th December

CHILDREN’S LITURGY AT 6PM VIGIL MASS
Will now take place on the first Saturday of each month.
If you would be interested in either being a Children’s Liturgist or a helper please contact Fr Christopher.
Volunteers will need to have a DBS Check organized by the Parish.

JUSTICE & PEACE CONFERENCE
Northampton Justice and Peace Commission invite you to a conference on ‘Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking’. On Saturday 13th October at St John’s Parish Hall in Luton, Sr Patricia Mulhall cub and Michael Duthie will be sharing their experience for you. For more details contact call 01494 875 485

FAMILY FIREWORKS
Bishop Parker School have organised a Fireworks Evening for Friday 9th November 6pm-8pm.
Price £3 each / Family of 4 £10.
This is always a very popular event and the tickets are available now from Bishop Parker School Office .
