POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR APRIL 2019: Doctors and their Collaborators in War Zones. For doctors and their humanitarian collaborators in war zones, who risk their lives to save the lives of others.

“As I meet with the victims and survivors of abuse, I am acutely aware that many are still isolated and that they need to know that the Church is empathetic to their needs. That we are all part of the body of Christ is brought home by the hurt we all experience when one of our children or adults suffers due to abuse.
The development of the relationship between the Church and victims and survivors is a journey we are all on, during which we will gain strength through listening and a gradual deepening of understanding.
Our Diocesan Safeguarding Office are developing a program to support the victims and survivors of abuse and aid our Diocese to understand the effects of abuse better.

Mass for victims and survivors of abuse, their families and supporters at St Mary’s in Woburn Sands at 12 noon on 12 October 2019

All victims and survivors of abuse, their families and supporters are invited to this Mass. The focus will be on healing, reconciliation and the forming of compassionate links with the Church. There will be light refreshments after the Mass”

It’s providing them with food, clean water and shelter to see them through. Thank you for remembering your sisters and brothers in Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi.
