Prisco Carrillo, whose funeral Mass will be on Monday 20th May, 12noon at St Thomas Aquinas Church.

CONGRATULATIONS AND PRAYERS to children from both Bishop Parker School and St Thomas Aquinas School who celebrated their first Holy communion this weekend. As ever it was a joyous and truly spiritual occasion. Please continue to pray for the children being prepared in the Parish who will celebrate their first Holy Communion on Saturday 8th June.

Please pray for our young people in the Parish who will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation at Mass with Bishop Peter on Friday 24th May, 7:30pm at All Saints Church. Confirmation is the Sacrament that completes our initiation into the Catholic Church and through which we receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit that enable us to take upon ourselves the full responsibility of the Christian life.
A reminder that there is a rehearsal for our confirmandi with their sponsors on Thursday 23rd May, 7:30pm at All Saints Church.

During the month of May the Legion of Mary will pray the Rosary after each weekday Mass in honour of Our Blessed Mother.

At the 9am & 11am Mass there is often a jam as people queuing to return to their seats after receiving Holy Communion get stuck behind people queuing to receive Holy Communion. To solve this can the rows on the side aisles come up to receive communion at the same time as the corresponding centre rows. We tried this at the 11am Easter Day Mass and it worked well, so let’s give it a try!

During this Easter season when we remember the resurrection of the Lord, it seems an appropriate time to remember our loved ones who have died. There will be a service and blessing of graves at St Mary’s cemetery in Woburn Sands on Sunday 19th May at 1pm.
All are welcome.

Do you miss someone? Would you like to talk about it? Our Parish Bereavement Group gives you the safe space to share your grief following the loss of a loved one. We listen and talk about those who are gone and reflect on our faith to guide us through.
