POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER INTENTIONS FOR JUNE 2019: The Mode of Life of Priests. That priests, through the modesty and humility of their lives, commit themselves actively to a solidarity with those who are most poor.

Don’t be late, don’t leave early!
“It is not a good habit to be looking at the clock and calculating how much of the beginning or end of Mass would be OK to miss and still fulfil one’s obligation. Get to Mass early – not late because it is during the introductory rites that we begin to adore God as a community and to prepare the heart for this celebration with the community. Understanding these holy signs is necessary in order to fully experience the Mass and savour all of its beauty. The gestures that accompany the Mass risk going unnoticed but they are very significant because they express from the start that the Mass is an encounter of love with Christ who offers his body on the cross, becoming victim and priest. After the entrance, the celebrant bows and kisses the altar as an expression of veneration because the altar is a symbol of Christ. Everyone gathers around the altar not to look at each other but to look at Christ, who is at the centre of the community – not far away”.

Please pray for repose of the soul of

Eva Nora Fitzpatrick, whose funeral Mass will be on Monday 10th June, 11:15am at All Saints Church.

Sylvia Palmer, whose funeral Mass will be on Monday 17th June, 12:30pm at All Saints Church.

We offer our sincere sympathy and the loving support of our faith and prayers to all the recently bereaved.

Day for Life – Defending and supporting the rights and dignity of the human person from conception to natural death.

CONGRATULATIONS AND PRAYERS to children from our Parish Sacramental Preparation Group who made their First Holy Communion this weekend. It was a prayerful and happy occasion in the life of our Parish and we pray for our young people as they continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Thank you to those who have completed and returned the Parish Audit / Questionnaire forms which were given out to all parishioners last weekend. Copies are still available at the back of Church for those who were not here last week and we encourage you to take the time to fill it in and consider how you may serve the Parish.

Do you miss someone? Would you like to talk about it? Our Parish Bereavement Group gives you the safe space to share your grief following the loss of a loved one. We listen and talk about those who are gone and reflect on our faith to guide us through.
