MASS STIPENDS FOR AFRICA
Fr Francis, the Parish Priest of St Agatha’s Church in Mongu, Zambia, has kindly offered to say a Mass for your intentions. St Thomas Aquinas and All Saints have been supporting St Agatha’s Parish over a number of years through our Parish charity Sepo. There is very little income to support the priests in the Parish and Mass Stipends for your Intentions would go a long way to help.
If you would like a Mass said by Fr Francis please:
Write your name on an envelope. Write what / who your intention is for and enclose an offering. We suggest a donation £10 per Mass. Please mark the Envelope “SEPO”. The envelope can be placed in the collection basket, handed in at the Parish Office or given to Fr Christopher or Fr Benedetto.

ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED SELLER ON Ebay?
Help is needed to sell items online to raise funds for our Parish Charity SEPO. If you can help please contact Angela White on 01908 648994.

FR CHRISTOPHER
Over the coming week Fr Christopher will be in Rome as part of the preparations for the Extraordinary Month of Mission in October called for by Pope Francis. The task of organising this and providing resources has been given to Missio. Please hold the planning group in your prayers. Do be assured that Fr Christopher will hold the parishes in prayer each day and most especially at the Mass in St Peter’s Basilica. In his absence please refer all clergy matters to Fr Benedetto.

With every blessing for the week ahead

ITALIAN MASS Friday 1st February 2019
7pm ST Thomas Aquinas Church.
All Welcome

PARISH PATRONAL SOLEMNITY
As a Parish family, we will be celebrating this Sunday the Solemnity of St Thomas Aquinas, priest and Doctor of the Church, who is the patron saint
of our Parish community. The readings and propers at Mass are therefore those proscribed for the Feast Day rather than the Sunday. Last year Ms Nina Delisser kindly presented the parish with the gift of a Holy Relic (first class) of St Thomas Aquinas complete with documents of authentication. The veneration of Holy Relics is a rich part of Catholic tradition and piety and helps us to make a real and tangible connection with the Saints who have gone before us. The relic of our Holy Patron will be processed into Church and placed in the sanctuary during the 6pm Vigil Mass, 9am Mass & 11am Mass with the opportunity to personally venerate the relic at the end of Mass. St Thomas Aquinas, ora pro nobis.

THE DOWRY TOUR OF OUR LADY OF WALSINGHAM
During the course of 2018 to 2020 the statue of Our Lady of Walsingham from the Slipper Chapel at the Catholic National Shrine and Basilica will be taken to each Cathedral for a three-day triduum of prayer, as part of the preparation for the re-dedication of England as the Dowry of Mary in 2020. The statue will be visiting Northampton Cathedral between 7th and 9th February. This Tour is groundbreaking and is coming at a very important time in our nation’s history. Each visit has Mass – Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament – silence – devotions – powerful intercession – the invocation of the Saints and Martyrs of England and Wales. This is our opportunity to show our own devotion to Our Lady of Walsingham. Please keep the tour in your prayers. “When England returns to Walsingham, Our Lady will return to England” Pope Leo XIII

THANK YOU FROM CAFOD – the gift of water – In the arid area of Sebeya (Ethiopia) bringing clean water has been a fantastic achievement. In 2017/18 you helped the people of Sebeya irrigate their farmland by: Drilling a deep well; installing two water pumps with solar generators and providing training to maintain them; Building two irrigation reservoirs with pipelines. 1262 families now have an improved water source under 1.5km away (less than a 30 minute walk). Thank you so much for standing in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Sebeya.
